Intro to our instructor, Colin, and a round up of everyones ambitions for the week. My personal goal was to learn to pop the board, as opposed to chop hop, to improve my Vulcan attempts. One of the guys wanted to learn to loop, like most, but he was 69!!! Definitely gives hope for the future.

The wind kicked in at 2 pm and we all dived out on 5.0 m as it looked quite strong. It was a false alarm and we all spent an hour wobbling around on 85 L boards before giving up on the lessons. The wind came back late and I spent a couple of hours on a Tabou Pocket Wave 85 and a Manic 5.3. Superb little board for 360's but you need to be quick to tack.

Retired to the bar as the wind died.
